Advent Begins: Do Christians Still live in Palestine?

Begin our Star of Wonder: Advent Virtual Pilgrimage of Life in the ancient city of Hippos (Susita), one of the Decapoliscities overlooking the Sea of Galilee. Explore its early Christian ruins and reflect on the Gospel miracle where Jesus healed the deaf and mute man (Mark 7:31–37). Through His word “Ephphatha – Be opened,” we are invited this Advent to open our hearts to Christ and share His healing love with others.

Also in this episode, travel with us to Bethlehem to visit the Effeta Paul VI Institute, a school dedicated to the audio-phonetic rehabilitation of deaf children in the Palestinian Territories. In a region where up to 15% of residents in some villages experience hearing loss—often due to genetic inheritance—the Institute provides education, therapy, and hope, empowering children to overcome social and psychological challenges and thrive in their communities.

Join us as we journey from Galilee to Bethlehem, uniting in prayer with the Christians of the Holy Land—past and present—this Advent season.
