"Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest on each one of them." Not just one appeared, but they were distributed on each one. Each tongue was different. The Holy Spirit is present in each one who receives and welcomes Him. Communion is built when each person listens to the other, to the Spirit who dwells in the other, with respect and reverence. There is the same Spirit, resting on each one in a different way.
