From the ancient prophets, from Isaiah and Joel, a blessing is announced: I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. From ancient times, God has prepared his people to receive his Spirit. The hour has come; at Pentecost, God fulfills his promise. Our God is a faithful God, faithful in love to the extreme. These are his times, his ways, his paths, but he is always faithful to his promise.
