Revealing Magdala: Archaeology Congress

We are happy to share that on October 8–9, Magdala hosted Revealing Magdala: Archaeological Workshop and Conference. The event was organized by Magdala, Tel Aviv University, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Kinneret College, the Zinman Institute of Archaeology at the University of Haifa, and Universidad Anáhuac México.

Andrea Garza and Tehillah Lieberman, codirectors of the excavations at Magdala, organized the conference to bring together the different institutions working at the site. The event offered an opportunity to share recent discoveries, discuss the results of the various excavations, and work toward a more integrated understanding of Magdala’s archaeology.

If you are interested in the presentations, you can watch the recordings here.

We look forward to welcoming the international academic community back to Magdala next year to continue exploring and discussing the archaeology of Magdala, Galilee, and the wider region.
