Dear Friends,
Following the Magdala Guesthouse inauguration and our Christmas greeting, we find ourselves in the beginning of 2020. It may seem to be the beginning of another normal year, but for us it is not. It’s the beginning of a new phase for Magdala. Having achieved our goal of opening the guesthouse, we welcomed our complete pastoral team, including new priests and consecrated, as the year began, as well as a new generation of volunteers. God unfolds a new page before us… We want to make sure we live it with intensity and give the best of us to His service!
As we entered the first week of January, we prepared to begin our work in Magdala with a programming retreat for our medium- and long-term plans. For the first time Legionary priests and Regnum Christi Consecrated women, as well as close colleagues and the general managers of Notre Dame Center of Jerusalem and Magdala, joined in to help us organize the programming of our activities for our organizations. As we finish this work in the coming weeks, we’ll be very excited to share this with you. We thank very much, Ms. Peg Tichacek and Ascension Via Christi, for their close guidance in this process.
I am happy to announce that we have worked hard to plan ahead our road to 2033, which will mark the 2000th Anniversary of the Public Ministry of Christ. We ask for your prayers as we continue structuring and defining this path so that it will truly bring an authentic service to all pilgrims coming to the Holy Land!
My best wishes to all of you as we continue ahead into 2020!
Fraternally yours,
Fr. Juan María Solana, L.C.
