Dear Friends of Magdala,
A few days ago we concluded the construction of the cement structure of the south wing of the future Magdala hotel.
This is one further step in the whole process of our construction Project that began a few years back. It’s quite a significant step because we can say the structure of the building is now in fact complete!
It is a time to look back and thank so many people who have made this possible. It is not easy to move forward with a project of this magnitude knowing that each day we depend on the Providence of God, a Providence which manifests itself in tangible and sometimes intangible ways, through our friends and benefactors, many whom sometimes remain anonymous. Truly, we thank you! Upon finalizing the “assembly” of the last part of the concrete structure, we think of so many people, which with so much care and enthusiasm have helped us make this a reality.
On the other hand it is time to look to the future. As we have continued to note, one whole wing is completed in its entirety, 71 rooms, and we are now working in the main building: the restaurant area, reception, lobby and Magdalena Institute, among its many other sections. Furthermore we now have the structure of the south wing to move on to, with its 86 rooms which we still have to complete, its façade, the furniture and details across this area.
Our mouths are watering thinking of the day we will receive the firsts guests in the Magdala hotel! Furthermore, we are filled with enthusiasm and anticipation to know that we will be able to start our programs and activities in Magdala.
We pray for continued blessings for the many volunteers, professionals and donors that continue to help us on our way to beginning this blessed and wonderful plan of God.
With my warmest greetings from Magdala,
Fr. Juan María Solana, L.C.
