Moses escapes to the land of the Midianites, where he meets his wife and starts a new life. But it is there when he receives the call from God.
At the moment of Moses’ call to lead his people out of Egypt, which is an impossible Mission, he asks: “Who am I that I should go…?” He is met with this response from the Lord’s presence in the Burning Bush: “I will be with you.”
The most important thing in your relationship with the Lord is: He is with you. He promises to be with you. He is your God who says to you as he said to Moses: “You shall serve God upon this mountain” That is to say, right where you are. So even if we hide our faces from the Lord, let us hear him call us by name and call us to freedom!
