Day 16: Ten Words of Freedom

What is God’s Glory?

Man, Fully Alive God’s will for us is that he be glorified by us, living to the fullness of who we are.

We know well that it’s better not to be caught and trapped by lies, jealousies, and violence – but more important than that – is the relationship, the basis of this fact. One of the best ways to ensure we’re living in truth and before God is something we’re all invited to do during this Lent: Adoration. It reminds you that when we don’t depend on God, you are not free. Yet you can depend on God to do everything!

Your spirit becomes confused, disordered, and muddled when you are not in the right relationship with Truth. So instead, God wants you to know his Glory. How? Well, a theophany is God’s Revelation of who he is and where he is. We can easily think of: the thunder, fire, and cloud with Moses; when Jesus was born; when Jesus was transfigured; or the Holy Eucharist. Well, the Ten Commandments are the same, so let them be God’s theophany to you! If you live his “ten words,” your life will reveal: to you who God is; and to others his Glory.
