Day 39: 9th Commandment: Covetousness of Heart

If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit” (Gal. 5:16). The Commandments are the breath of life into us. This is the main dimension of the Ninth Commandment, which leads to purity of heart.

The resistance or submission to the saving action of the Holy Spirit is the difference between vice and virtue. Purification of your heart, where your moral personality is, where you live, where all your desires are channeled leads to your fulfillment in this life, in God, who is holy. Through your charity, belief, and obedience: the recipe for the precondition of the vision of God, face-to-face, you see according to God and accept others as neighbors. This is what makes you full and dignified, seeing the whole person as a manifestation of true, divine beauty.

“The Lord is my strength and my song; he is my salvation” (Ps. 118:14).
