Who is your “one and only”?

When it comes to our relationship with him, God tells us: “I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God” (Exodus 20:5). He knows that our happiness can only be found in our relationship with him. Giving our Adoration to anyone or anything else enslaves us. So, Vatican II explains the “intimate and vital bond of man to God,” the living One who intervenes in history, springs from the desire for God which is written in the human heart (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 27).

Your relationship with God is with someone who loves you. Let no idol, pleasure, or doubt stand in your way of this intimacy your heart desires!
